My name is Stephen Presley and I am the PE teacher at Barton Creek. I have been teaching PE for five years, previously at Eanes Elementary and Forest Trail Elementary. I went to the University of Texas where I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Promotion and Fitness and a Master’s of Education in Physical Education.
My goal as a physical educator is to educate and inspire my students to live a physically active lifestyle. I strive to help my students find activities they are passionate about and to give them the knowledge and tools they need to continue to pursue those passions throughout their life. I try to create an inclusive environment in the gym that gives students the opportunity to explore many different areas of movement while cooperating and competing in a respectful manner.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy backpacking, cycling, and playing ultimate frisbee. I am currently training to run the New York City marathon in November!
